Economics and Public Accounts Committee visits capital projects, 13 May 2019

MPs pose with special adviser to Kunene Governor, Hon. Katuutire Kaura after a courtesy call

Opuwo - The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economics and Public Administration is currently visiting capital projects countrywide as part of its oversight function. The committee is currently visiting the Kunene region where it is expected to look at projects such as the construction of the aerodrome, rehabilitation of government garage, meteorological services and the maintenance of roads and ICT infrastructure.

The committee is meeting stakeholders of concerned ministries in the region to assess progress made on the said projects. The committee, that paid a courtesy call on the Governor of the Kunene region, Hon. Marius Sheya who was represented by his Special Adviser, Hon. Katuutire Kaura is chaired by Hon. Heather Sibungo. Other Members of Parliament forming part of the committee include Hons. Annakletha Sikerete, Loide Shinavene and Elifas Dingara.
