With deep sadness, the Secretary to the National Council, Adv. Tousy Namiseb, hereby, announces the untimely passing of Mr. Protasius Nambudhi, who was a Security Operations Officer in the Security and Operations Division: Office of the Secretary. Mr. Nambudhi passed away on Friday, 3 June 2022 in a tragic car accident.
Mr. Nambudhi, or Prota (sometimes Pro, as he was affectionately known), was not just a colleague, but a very dear friend to many at Parliament. He will be remembered for his gentle nature and warm smile. Moreover, he will be sorely missed for his excellent work ethic and willingness to always assist. Mr. Nambudhi joined the National Council on the 1st of March 2021. Yet, to his colleagues, it was as though he had always been around, this due to his benevolence.
As someone who was tasked with upholding the security of the institution, it is heart breaking to know that although he protected and kept us safe here in the precincts of Parliament, fate would not accord him the same protection over his life at the time of his unfortunate demise.
We will remember Prota for many more years to come here in this National Council. His loyalty and humbleness will be sorely missed. May God give his family the strength and peace to bear this unimaginable pain.
Prota, may your soul find rest in eternal peace.
