Indian High Commissioner to Namibia, H.E. Prashant Agrawal visited the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Prof. Peter Katjavivi today (09/11/21). The two exchanged views on the envisioned Namibian Parliament museum. The Speaker noted that the museum, which he says would encompass artefacts and an interactive digital display of information, was important in terms of heritage and preservation of information particularly for the young generation.
The High Commissioner shared similar sentiments adding that India which has its own parliament museum, was willing to assist the Namibian parliament in seeing that the planned museum translates into reality.
Early next year, a delegation from the Namibian parliament is expected to visit the Indian Parliament to share experiences regarding the setting up of the envisaged museum among many other issues of mutual interest.
