A delegation from the Namibia Defence Force (NDF) Command & Staff College visited the Parliament of Namibia to gain insight into the country’s law-making process, they were welcomed by the Deputy Secretary, Mr Oscar Muyatwa.
The visit provided officers with a comprehensive overview of parliamentary procedures, including how bills are drafted, debated, and enacted into law. During their time at Parliament, the delegation engaged with officials to better understand the roles and responsibilities of legislators, as well as the relationship between the executive, legislature, and other arms of government.
Such educational visits form part of the College’s broader curriculum, aimed at equipping senior military officers with a deeper understanding of governance, constitutional principles, and civil-military relations.
