Windhoek- Members of the National Council on Thursday afternoon visited the family home of the late National Assembly Member of Parliament, hon. James Uerikua, to pay their respects following his untimely passing last week Friday.
Hon. Uerikua tragically lost his life in a car accident alongside his son, a loss that has sent shockwaves across the nation and the parliamentary community.
The National Council delegation was led by Chairperson hon. Lukas Muha, who conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the Council. Speaking during the visit, hon. Muha paid tribute to the late parliamentarian, describing him as a knowledgeable, vibrant, and energetic leader whose warmth touched many.
“We knew him as a dedicated leader who consistently advocated for development, particularly initiatives aimed at transforming lives at the grassroots level,” said hon. Muha.
He further noted that Hon. Uerikua’s commitment to public service and his passion for community upliftment earned him respect across political and social spheres. His contributions to national development, especially his focus on improving the lives of ordinary citizens, will be remembered as part of his enduring legacy.
Members of the delegation joined the family in mourning, offering words of comfort and solidarity during this difficult time.
