Standing Committee on Urban, Rural Development and Land Reform

The Committee is responsible for exercising parliamentary oversight on behalf of the National Assembly.  The Committee duties include:

1. Recommending fair land distribution and effective use of farming and urban land in Namibia, as well as the allocation of erven and housing.
2. Monitor international agreements affecting land and housing,.
3. Reviews relevant government entities’ annual reports to improve performance and accountability.
4. Evaluate the implementation of laws under its jurisdiction and propose amendments where necessary.
