The Committee is responsible for exercising parliamentary oversight on behalf of the National Assembly. The Committee duties include:
- Monitoring and making recommendations on poverty reduction, social protection, human resources development, industrial relations and employment creation in Namibia.
- Promote fair labour practices, scrutinise legislation affecting workers’ rights, review relevant international agreements and ensure government entities are transparent and accountable.
